My Story and Vision

Supporting Your Journey in Motherhood

Hi, I’m Maria, a dedicated mental health professional with a Bachelor's degree in Psychology and a Master's degree in Mindfulness-Based Interventions. But most importantly, I’m a mom, just like you, facing the daily challenges of balancing life and maintaining mental health. With my extensive background in psychology and over 20 years of practising yoga and meditation, I’ve developed a deep understanding of how to integrate mental health practices into daily life.

I’ve battled stress, anxiety, and the challenges of social anxiety. I understand the negative thought patterns that can undermine your well-being. Through my own journey, I discovered powerful techniques that combine psychology with mindfulness, nutrition, and yoga to improve mental health. This led me to create the MIBA method, which has helped many find peace and balance.

But when you’re a mom, finding time for yourself amidst the chaos is really hard. I’ve had to adapt my practices to fit a busy mom's life. I know how overwhelming it is when you don’t have support, and I’m here to help you take care of yourself because when you’re okay, your family is too.

I have three older sisters and many working mom friends, and together we form a supportive community—a tribe. You can be part of this tribe, too. I am passionate about helping other busy women find balance and mental peace through the MIBA method.

Let's navigate this journey together. See below for more information about the MIBA Method and the techniques I use.

The Method

Cultivating habits and mindsets that transform exceptional days into the norm. It's about actively shaping your daily life to align with your best self, turning fleeting peaks into a consistent reality.

One of the major contributing factors of stress, anxiety and depression is  how we think about or perceive an experience.

You may be surprised to learn that it’s not what appears in your mind, but what you do with it that makes the difference to your mental health and happiness.

The mind has the fantastic ability to transform itself and reshape how it functions. With the MIBA Method's approach, we work at creating healthier mental habits. Building new connections in the mind that can help you towards living a more satisfied life.

What is the MIBA Method?

The MIBA Method is a comprehensive approach designed to help you navigate the challenges of modern life, in motherhood, in your work and in the daily demands of being busy women. By integrating psychological practices with mindfulness, the MIBA Method offers practical and effective strategies to enhance your mental and emotional health. It's about understanding and transforming your core beliefs, personal values, and thought patterns to create a balanced and fulfilling life.

Components of the MIBA Method

Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT):

ACT helps you accept what is beyond your control and commit to actions that improve your life. It encourages mindfulness and acceptance strategies along with commitment and behavior-change strategies, aligning you with your core values.

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT):

CBT focuses on identifying and changing negative thought patterns and behaviors. It's a powerful tool for addressing issues like anxiety and depression, promoting a healthier mindset by reshaping your perspectives.

Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR):

MBSR is a program that uses mindfulness to help reduce stress. It involves practices like meditation and yoga, which help you stay present and manage stress more effectively, enhancing your overall well-being.

Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT):

MBCT combines the ideas of cognitive therapy with mindfulness practices. It's particularly useful in preventing the recurrence of depression and improving emotional regulation by focusing on your thought patterns.

The MIBA Method is designed to be practical and accessible, providing you with strategies that fit into your busy life. By following this method, you can expect:

  • Reduced stress and anxiety
